Our fire resistant steel roller shutter doors are designed to be a security barrier during normal use and to close automatically during an emergency situation or test. They are available with a 30, 60, 120, or 240 minute fire resistant barrier.
In the event of receiving a fire alarm signal the shutter will perform a powered descent to create a fire resistant barrier. If power failure occurs, the shutter will close using an intelligent battery backup feature.
Our fire doors have been fully tested and are compliant to the latest standard BS EN 16034:2014 and CE Marked to BS EN 13241-1:2003.
Here are some of the many benefits of installing our fire resistant steel roller shutter doors.

A robust steel door provides maximum security to your premises.
The electric steel fire resistant doors are powered by either a singleor three phase motor. The size and fire rating required determine the motor type. Localised sensors, such as smoke and heat detectors, activated the door closure.
These doors can also be manually operated, at a maximum door size of 2500mm wide x 2500mm high. They close by a fusible link when heat activated.
Although fire doors are not specified as everyday traffic doors, they can be operated by electric button or key switch to occasionally close of an area.
Fire resistant steel roller shutter doors have a zinc galvanised finish as standard, but can be powder coated in any BS or RAL colours. They are often completely powder coated white when mounted in hygienic food environments.
Guide rails are available in 65mm, 75mm or 100mm deep, depending on the shutter width mounted on steel angles for fixing. These are available for face or reveal installations.
The curtain is constructed with single skin 75mm laths.
Localised sensors, such as smoke and heat detectors, a range of audio visual devices and emergency retract switches can be connected to the panels using a 24 V DC supply from the panel.
