Mike Gregory established Ro-Dor in 1985 with a flagship range of PVCu roller shutter doors. These doors are still manufactured today at the Ro-Dor facility, in the heart of the Test Valley, Hampshire.
Ro-Dor’s PVCu roller shutter doors were designed primarily for the car wash market. The durable, high impact and low maintenance PVCu, stands up to harsh car wash conditions. In addition, the double-skin construction provides both acoustic and thermal insulation.
These properties were identified early on as a perfect solution to the demands of the food manufacture and processing industry. The Ro-Dor brand was adapted to meet the strict hygiene and health and safety requirements of industrial doors within this market sector.
With a dedicated team and an increasing expansion across market sectors, within 10 years Ro-Dor became one of the fastest growing door companies in the UK.
As well as being the UK’s largest PVCu roller shutter door manufacturer, Ro-Dor has established prestigious trade partnerships that enable us to offer an unrivalled quality product range. From the smallest roller shutters to the largest PVCu rapid roll door, we are certain that we can offer you the perfect solution to your industrial and domestic door requirements.
Having worked for Ro-Dor for the past 20 years, Mike’s son, Nick Gregory, now heads the company. Nick works alongside Ro-Dor’s dedicated and longstanding team, whose experience and expert knowledge is a key component to the continued success of the company.
We are trusted and well respected industry leaders who are proud of our achievements and passionate about our products.
Meet our senior leadership team members.
Nick has worked at Ro-Dor for the last 20 years. His experience at every level of the company means that he really does know the business inside-out. He took the helm in 2016, when the baton was passed on from his father, Mike Gregory.
Having worked across all departments, Nick won’t hesitate to get involved at any level to ensure a job is completed on time and to the full satisfaction of each customer.
Nick is a big-hearted family man with 3 young children.
Having invested over 36 years founding, crafting and growing Ro-Dor from scratch, Mike has taken a step back from the day-to-day business operations. However, he keeps a close eye over the proceedings, offering advice and direction when needed.
Outside the office, Mike can be found enjoying one of his many passions, from racing historic cars to bee keeping.
He will always be an integral and well-respected member of the team.
Nigel has worked at Ro-Dor since its infancy in 1985. His longstanding dedication and enthusiasm is boundless.
Nigel is always on hand to guide you through the right products for your requirements, ensuring a bespoke experience for each customer.
A proud grandfather of 3, Nigel is warm, honest and has an endless supply of jokes – please don’t encourage him!
Since 1995 Simone has ensured the smooth running of the company’s daily operations. Simone is efficient, organised and is in constant communication with all of the Ro-Dor team.
Just as proactive outside of work, Simone is a keen runner and organises tournaments and functions for her tennis club.
Simone will most likely be the person on the other end of the phone when you call, or the first friendly face you see if you visit.
Rod began his Ro-Dor career as a production manager, but fast forward 12 years and his hard working, inquisitive nature has secured his role as lead engineer.
His extensive knowledge and experience of Ro-Dor products makes Rod our technical expert. We affectionately refer to him as the guru!
Rod transfers his technical skills outside of the office, spending winter evenings fishing for sea bass and mackerel along the Dorset coast.
Steve joined the Ro-Dor team as a trainee engineer and dedicatedly worked his way up to a senior position within 5 years.
To enable his continued development, Ro-Dor supports Steve in working towards his Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Door and Shutter Systems Installation.
As much of a superhero out of work as in, Steve is an avid comic book and figurine collector.
Our main office and manufacturing facility is located in the picturesque village of Houghton, in Hampshire.
We supply, install and maintain doors in both our surrounding counties and across the whole of the UK.
We look forward to hearing from you!
